How We Tested R-Studio for SD Card Recovery

We used two 128 GB SDXC cards formatted as exFAT plus one 32 GB SDHC card formatted as FAT32. The test set included JPEG, CR3, MP4, MOV, WAV, plus small office files. Scenarios covered ordinary deletion, quick formatting, a removed partition record, plus interrupted camera-video writes.

Each card was imaged before scanning. R-Studio plus Disk Drill ran on the same Windows 11 PC through the same USB 3.2 card reader. The software did preserve useful folder structure in the simpler deletion case. Once file-system metadata was gone, though, the result list filled with duplicate candidates plus generic filenames. Sorting out which copy was complete became a manual job.
